Bandcamp this Sunday August 16th : Caroline Collective – Get Organized and quit being a Slacker with Bandized
We’ve all heard of basecamp, a project management software setup that typically helps business people get projects done - but the newest online gadget for band slackers is Bandized! It’s specifically tailored to bands and band managers that need help with gauging the effectiveness of their band. Check out the app for free at http://bandize.com.
The five musician/web developers behind Bandize say they are trying to cover all the bases in an attempt to make musicians’ lives easier.
“Bandize lets bands keep track of tour dates, venues and hotel accommodations, and print out tour itineraries. The inventory-management tool keeps track of every T-shirt or CD that is sold or given away, registering the cost of the swag or the profit from the sale. Bandize lets bands sync their social networking info on MySpace, Pure Volume, and Facebook and assign tasks to each other and track productivity.” – Wired Magazine
So Why are we posting about this – Well the developers are coming to Houston and are hosting this Sunday’s Bandcamp at The Caroline Collective 4820 Caroline Street 2-4PM
“This is your true first step in realizing that your band is a small business, and that you need to start thinking like a small business owner in order to give yourself a better chance to succeed. The goal of Bandize was to make it easy to use, even on the road, so that the drunkest member of the band should be able to update band info at 4am after a show.”
