Houston Actor Juan Cantu returns home to perform cabaret

Originally from Houston, Juan Cantu returns home from Orlando, FL to perform a cabaret about the ups and downs of his life and career. His self-deprecating humor shows a jovial yet penetrating look at the career of a musical theatre and pop singer. Come listen as Juan takes a familiar Broadway standard and sings it in the style of several Pop stars. He will be accompanied by the multi-talented and sought after pianist Rob Landes.

Juan grew up in Northside of Houston, attended Dodson Elementary, Gregory Lincoln Fine Arts Academy, the High School for the Performing Arts and Jeff Davis High School. He studied musical theatre at HITS theatre and studied voice under the direction of Houston’s renown soprano Patti Spain. After leaving Houston, Juan performed at Six Flags Over Texas, Fiesta Texas, for Norwegian Cruise Lines, Disneyland, various national tours, Starlight Express in Las Vegas, at the Motown Cafe-Las Vegas, various Vegas revues, Tokyo Disney Sea and currently Walt Disney World in the world premiere of Finding Nemo the musical. He also works as a studio singer in the Central Florida area. You night have also spotted him in various television commercials in the Southwest.
